Bale/Doneen Difference

Heart attacks and ischemic strokes are preventable, but it takes more than medicine’s current standard of care. It takes optimal care.

There are 9 key elements that form the foundation of the Bale/Doneen Method, creating a paradigm shift in cardiovascular disease prevention: EDFROG-IRA:

  1. Education - Event Reality - What really causes a heart attack or ischemic stroke
  2. We advocate identifying vascular Disease. We then treat and monitor actual disease – plaque in the artery wall.
  3. Fire: Inflammation of the disease is assessed and monitored.
  4. We have perfected techniques that identify the Root causes of vascular disease.
  5. We set Optimal goals for risk factor modification, as opposed to goals set by the standard of care.
  6. We personalize the individual’s care based on their unique Genetic make-up.
  7. Individual Management - treating to the n of 1 = the unique individual patient.
  8. Risk Factor Response - assessing an individual's risk response over time.
  9. Assess Disease Annually - Evaluate benefit of global risk reduction by evaluating the disease state annually.

Although cardiologists and heart surgeons across the country have successfully lowered the rate of death from heart attacks, the sheer number of heart attacks and strokes has not dropped. Interventions such as stents and bypass surgery may effectively treat the symptoms of the disease, such as angina, but fail to treat the underlying biology of the disease.  This helps explain why many individuals who undergo these procedures often need repeat interventions or go on to suffer a heart attack or stroke.  The Bale/Doneen Method does address the important, underlying biological issues of atherosclerosis.  This explains why we have achieved such unprecidented excellent clinical results.
