After co-founding the Bale/Doneen Method of heart attack, stroke and diabetes prevention in 2001, Bradley Bale, MD, and Amy Doneen, DNP, ARNP have given more than 1,200 speeches and presentations about their techniques to some 60,000 health care providers in the US and abroad. In 2006, they developed a preceptorship program to teach the method to other doctors, which is accredited for continuing medical education (CME) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. The course is currently offered four times a year in cities across the US.
"This course validates an effective paradigm for diagnosing cardiac disease and stroke prevention with information toward the tools available to all providers. Imagine what could actually happen, lives that could be changed and/or saved if more medical providers could look through this wonderful kaleidoscope!"
Candice Nicoll, ARNP, Port Charlotte, FL.
"This course was fantastic."
Donald Russo, MD, Tennessee
"This course gives clinicians a clinically relevant 'nuts & bolts' approach to cardiovascular prevention that is concise, unbiased, and evidence-based."
Marina Johnson, MD, Texas
"This course shows a clear pathway to coronary disease prevention and stabilization that I will apply to every patient I see. I'm worried about my colleagues who don't take the course!"
Bruce R. McCurdy, MD, Maryland
"Throw out what you learned in Medical School and start over with the Bale/Doneen Method. A must for every Primary Care Physician."
Bryan Glick, D.O. (Arizona)
"This course is the most important event I have ever attended in my 22 years of practice! It elegantly and practically presented a powerful model of how to diagnose early and very effectively treat the most important and prevalent human disease, atherosclerosis! Every primary care doctor in the United States should attend this course!"
Gary Blume, MD, PhD (Washington)
"This was a moving, motivating session. I believe it will help me save lives and deliver medical care second to none. The course empowered me with the knowledge to educate my patients which will help to keep them motivated for real lifestyle changes."
Randy Baggesen, MD (Virginia)
"This high energy intensive evidence based two-day course makes a compelling case that heart attacks and strokes can be prevented by individualized assessment of the high risk factors and indicators. My patients will appreciate the application of this approach in my office practice. Thank you Dr. Bale and Ms. Doneen."
Ed Friedler, M.D. (Virginia)
"This course is designed to comprehensively improve one's knowledge of identification of those at risk for CAD/CV risk and absolutely control the outcomes of their patients in such a life altering way. This is the best course I've ever attached with regard to the protection of my patients from the devastating effects of CAD/CVD. I would recommend this course only to those who are serious about improving the longevity of their patients."
David Izenberg, D.O. (Arizona)
"I am pleased to have found people who are as interested in atherosclerosis and have figured it out. They have stayed on top of the scientific developments and are able to integrate it together in a way that I can bring it directly to my practice."
Stanley Sharp, MD (Kansas)
"After meeting Bale and Doneen, I no longer feel that we have to practice preventative medicine at the edge of a cliff."
Ryan Dirks, PA-C (Washington)
"I found the course invaluable and feel it should be mandatory for all physicians and primary care practitioners to attend to help decrease CHD/CVD."
Rakesh C. Patel, MD (Arizona)
"This week has been exhilarating and exhausting. It seems as though the majority of my patients (and I see 35-40 per day) need to be "recalibrated" per the Bale/Doneen Method…My patients' eyes are wide open and jaws are dropping as I blow them away with triple the passion, enthusiasm, and evidence that I normally show…I've been running more than an hour later than usual every day, but the payoff this week was when a longstanding, overweight, midlife, female patient with multiple unaddressed risk factors calmly looked at her watch after I concluded my comments and said:" Wow, doctor, you've never spent that much time with me…."
"In the hallway of my office I have a huge picture of some beautiful sand dunes with a caption that says: 'A mind once stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimension.' (Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr)…. As I walked past it for the millionth time on Monday, I glanced at it and smiled to myself, knowing that, after this weekend, it now carries a very different meaning… I am very grateful for the vast amount of time, thought, effort, and passion you both have put into this."
David Garza D.O. (Texas)
